Task

Your classmates, friends, and maybe even your teacher may not understand disfluency.  They don't know why sometimes you repeat sounds, words, or parts of sentences.  Trying to hide your stuttering only makes things worse.  They will find out sooner or later so why not tell them that you stutter?  Then you can relax.  It won't take the stuttering away, but it will make it easier.

You can help them all understand by sharing your personal experiences with disfluency, facts about disfluency, discussing famous people who have disfluency, and presenting your findings in an oral presentation to your classmates.  You will also prepare a questionnaire to be given before and after your presentation.

This is a picture of A. A. Milne, author of the Winnie the Pooh books, with his son Christopher Robin.  Christopher also experienced disfluency.  You are not alone.
